Electric Dreams was an art_house_life exhibition for Ventnor Fringe 2017 featuring Jo Kori & albedo marz. Joanna focussed on prints and prep drawings for her upcoming 2018 show 'Missing' . Exhibition Future reCollections Quay Arts 21 Jan to 01 April 2017

Kori used gum-strip paper to construct a series of composed scenes containing many different kinds of everyday objects and fragments of posed figures. Their suspension and placement created frozen moments in time. She described the dynamics of making her installations as a “pendulum movement between casting and drawing with the gum-strip tape - an archaeology of touch.”

Exhibition Missing art_house_life 31 Mar to 08 April 2018

Missing was an art_house_life exhibition by Jo Kori and albedo marz. Jo Kori created a whole room installation of 500 suspended casts of mobile phones in gumstrip called 'Lost Dialogues'. This was accompanied by sewn and scratched photographs. I am a sculptor / installation artist, constructing a blend of physical and digital experiences. Drawing is a very important part of my art practice.

Domestic interiors are transformed into suspensions and reconstructed forms are integrated into perceptions or narrative reflections. The spatial qualities of the objects and their relations to fragments of furniture - kitchen sink, table or washing machine - intensify localities.
